Emotional Competency: A Doorway to Peaceful Parenting
Hosted by Dave Bonaiuto and Noah Goldstein
One of the Big Challenges of Parenting is Navigating Big Feelings
Our children's big feelings, and our own. In this hourlong learning session Dave and Noah will share a foundational framework to help you gain confidence and competence when navigating emotionally charged situations with your kiddos or partner. We'll also help you unlock your relationship with your own emotions so you can bring more ease and flow into your family.
A recording of the workshop will be made available to all those who register.
You Love Your Children
But if you are like us, you sometimes get flustered and overwhelmed by anger, worry, fear, anxiety, frustration and end up saying and doing things you wished you hadn’t.
Here's an opportunity to begin to shift that dynamic. Through deeper self-understanding and experiential practices, we'll equip you with some new tools to navigate through the turbulent emotional waters with a bit more skill and grace.
What You'll Learn
- How to begin accept and work with your full range of emotions, and to embrace the energy and insight they offer.
- Why feeling emotions can be so difficult (for you and your children) and what do about it.
- What you and your children have been doing to avoid emotions and what's that costing you.Â
- How to build deeper connections, more intimacy, and bigger love with those you care about.

We'll be sharing a powerful tool that we have been using personally, in our one-on-one work with clients, and with the groups that we lead, to better understand:
-
The mechanics of emotions - how do they work and why do we sometimes get hijacked by them?
-
How to work more effectively with anxiety - and how it is often trying to help, just like a well intentioned but misguided friend
-
How to break free from difficult and ingrained behavior patterns - by better understanding what they are trying to protect us from.
